Last Saturday, I participated in the treasure hunt organized by my ex-company. My friends invited another fried and I to form a team. Sure, why not. It'd be fun. :)
Izzah had to withdraw at the last minute because her baby, Sarah wasn't so keen to be left behind by both parents. But she did help out as our talian hayat (lifeline). :)
It started out at Tropicana, PJ. The clues brought us to Uptown Damansara, Taman Tun, Bandar Menjalara, Kepong and Sri Gombak before arriving at the last pitstop in Selesa Hill Resort, Bukit Tinggi.
Flagoff:

Food. You can never have too little. :D

Those questions we got them right:
Q: Not later than 10am between cooking and showering.
Clues:
- 10 is also X in roman numeral --> XAM.
- Not later --> MAX
- Cooking, showering --> Kitchen, Bathroom

Q: A lady's address before and after matrimony
Answer: Miss & Mrs Boutique
Q: The result, I heard, after eating all day!
Clues:
- heard --> sounds like
- all day --> 24 hours
Answer: Restoran Bee Fatt 24 jam

Q: Kenny Rogers group

Q: The first astro monkey orbiting space

Clue: "first" --> so take the initials. A-M-O-S
Q: Sounds like a Japanese sauce with inverted symbol

Q: Look! A voice of disapproval

Q: This camel could be the result of a transmutation

Clues:
- transmutation --> jumble-up word
- This camel
Q: A coin of low value after gives it a moon shape

Q: The first seven letters
Clues:
- first --> SL, but there is no such signage
- so, it's ABCDEFG

And those we got them wrong...
Q: Romantic operas initially held in festival, shortly
Clues:
- initially = first
- Romantic operas --> RO
- Festival, shortly --> e.g. Chinese New Year --> CNY
- "in festival" --> so RO has to in between "CNY"
Answer: CRONY

Q: Metal boat in a shower
This was our answer! Ha ha ha.

Real Answer: Albarkath Restaurant
Reason:
- Metal --> Al, Fe, Mg
- Boat --> Ark
- Shower --> Bath
AlBArkath. Sheesh!
Q: Backward Italian city caught in my displays
Clue:
- Italian city --> e.g. ROME
- Backward --> EMOR
- in MY
Answer: MEMORY Sports
In the end...

Answer: MEMORY Sports
In the end...
- The 1st and 2nd runner-ups shared the same points, 92.
- The winner had 100 points. Out of 100! Man, how did they manage that?!
- There was also a prize for the most creative answer. Remember the question with the "Peek-A-Boo" answer? One team who-shall-not-be-named wrote down "Modern Mum" as the answer. LOL!
- The organizer even gave a hamper to the team whose points were the closest to the average.
- My team drove back laughing like mad men looking back at our silly answers. :'D
did your team win anything?
