Last weekend, my brother, Iju tied the knot with his other half, Ina. Saturday was when the akad nikah (solemnization) took place. The main kenduri (ceremony) on the bride's side was held the next day.
Since it was December wedding, we had to be content with the rain. Hujan rahmat (Blessings in the rain), insya-Allah.
The hantaran was entrusted in the safe hands of our sister, Aishah. Lepas ni boleh le guna servis dia. hehehe.
Bunga rampai. She did the most of the decorations from scratch, including the petals for the flowers.

80 ringgit of mas kahwin. The funny part was when the Kadi and witnesses were making (or rather try to make) sure it was enough. The Kadi told my brother that he assumed that it was all there. Else, he needed to make up for it later. :D

Can't help but to put up a picture of my youngest nephew. Such a cutie :)

Si Iju tengah 'control macho' :)

Putting on the ring

Newly weds! :)

Taking picture with the new extended family

The below pictures were taken from Sunday's ceremony. It was beginning to drizzle a few minutes before the Azan (call for prayer). Of course we could only start after the Azan was over. :)
Taking their places

Here we go...

Aishah's hubby was the best man (tukang kipas) :)

It poured by the time we were metres away from main tent. You should see us running to take cover. *lol*

The main table

In this picture, the udang panjat (prawns) were still intact. We pounded on them till there were no traces of them. hehehe. Besides, the newlyweds were a bit shy to eat. ;)

Congrats to Iju & Ina!

Wanna know what happened on the eve of the wedding day? There was supposed to be a mini ceremony for immediate families (some sort of majlis berinai). When we got there, the sister-in-law asked my brother, "Shouldn't you be wearing purple instead?" He came dressed in the pink attire. I was like, oh man! That meant an hour worth of delay; 30 minutes for each way. Plus he needed to get out of the pink dress and put on the purple. Sheesh. Sib baik dekat la gak (Good thing it was still within KL).
Anyhooo, this weekend it'd be at our house. I can already tell it's gonna be very tiring. But it's fine, because I'll be taking leave until Christmas. Woo hoo! :)
