Dresden is one of those recommended daytrips from Berlin or Prague. It's situated in between Berlin and Prague, so it makes sense to do a stopover for a couple of hours while taking the train to Prague. Having said that, this is going to be a short entry ;)
Since our travel day fell on Good Friday, most (if not all) of the shops along the way from the train station to the city were closed. It was a good 20 to 30 minute stroll to the river.
off to Prague! :)

The trip planning slides on Dresden
Practically empty. On a normal day I bet that Primark is the main attraction :)
That could be the Kreuzkirche, a Lutheran church
The Zwinger Palace should be the green-roofed building in the background
Not too sure what building this is
Semperoper - opera house, concert hall, ballet
Dresden Cathedral and Dresden Castle
Dresden Cathedral (Katholische Hofkirche)
Apparently the Dresden Elbe Valley is removed from the World Heritage Site due to "the building of a four-lane bridge". That's too bad.
Guess which Ninja Turtle is not in the list? Hehehe... kidding! :)
Dresden Academy of Fine Arts
Bruhl's Terrace (on the left) overlooking the Elbe River
I could be wrong, but this could be Dresden State Art Collections
Frauenkirche - a Lutheran church, with the statue of Martin Luther, a reformer and theologian
off to Prague! :)
