It's already the third day. How time flies (although the trip happened aeons ago hahaha).
If we had gone north the day before, we ventured out to the south to Uluwatu and Pandawa Beach.

| Day 3: Tijili Seminyak - Uluwatu - Pandawa Beach - Changgu - Finns - Kuta |
Uluwatu was simply breathtaking. Go ahead and check out the pictures below.
 |
| Simply breathtaking! |
 |
| We also bought the 'sarong' (is that the word for it) at Krisna's before leaving for Uluwatu :) |
 |
| An attempt for a panoramic view of the place |
 |
| At the venue for the kecak dance |
The kecak dance would only start at 6pm so we skipped it (at least for the day). If we had time tomorrow, we would come back for it.
A short drive away (and I do mean it this time :D) was the Pandawa Beach. O M G! I've never seen water that's crystal clear like that. I know that I haven't done lots of island trips before this, not even Redang and Perhentian, but this was like perfect. My friend did say that a stay near Uluwatu would be great. Since it's my first time here in Bali, I opted for a stay in Seminyak and Kuta. Definitely need to come back and stay in this area.

| The water was crystal clear! Too bad we weren't really here for a dip. Next time then ;) |
 |
| Peace yo! :D |
Then we headed back towards Changgu for a coffee and churros session. We decided to take the toll road this time around. We didn't realize that we needed to have a prepaid card for that, so we caused a little bit of traffic jam to pay cash to the toll attendant. Once we cleared the toll booth, it was a pleasant drive... until we needed to take the exit towards Kuta where we rejoined the traffic :D. It was excusable though because the traffic was partly caused by the construction of a new highway. Hopefully that would ease up the Bali traffic once that's completed.

| An AirAsia plane was about to land at the nearby airport |
We arrived at Tropicana Cafe shortly after and ordered two sets of churros with an extra helping of nutella. Yummms! Churros by the paddy field. Who would have thought that in Malaysia? Maybe I haven't found such a place yet hehehe,

| They really know how to sell the place |
Before going to Kuta to check in at Pullman Bali and spend our remaining 2 nights in Bali, we dropped by Finns Beach Club. We may be a tad overdressed especially with the udeng on our head. LOL!. We ordered quesadillas and drinks and
lepak (lounge) by the beach until a sudden storm came swooping in right before sundown. Everyone ran to the inner part of the beachclub to take shelter and we decided to leave. But as we were waiting for our car, the rain stopped. Oh well. We needed to go and check in into our hotel anyway. Remember the story about the '5km drive but we still ended with an hour on the road'? This was it. Thank God I wasn't driving :D
Initially we wanted to sit at the square sofas closer to the beach, but the waitress said that they came with a minimum spending of 1.6 million rupiah. Say that again? :D. That's still like 400 ringgit Malaysia to spend on food and drink!
So we politely replied that we just ate and asked for the no-minimum-spending table. Hahaha.
 |
| Nobody told us of the no-shirt policy |
 |
| The guy didn't bother telling us it's the buy1-free1 happy hour promo, so we ended up with 2 drinks each. |
While Tijili was really a good bargain, I chose Pullman for our last 2 nights in Bali, just because I wanted to stay by the beach :D. Well, we are in Bali right? :). There are a few hotels that caught my eye, like Hard Rock, The Stones Legian, Pullman and Sheraton. I know they're on the expensive side, but it didn't hurt to splurge out a bit right? :). Hard Rock was surprisingly full with only the deluxe rooms left available. The Stones may have better pool than Pullman but it's not facing the beach. Sheraton was a bit more pricier. So in the end, it's Pullman. And I couldn't find a fault with it.
 |
| Is the toilet selfie still a trend? :D |
 |
| I guess they have a mosquito problem |
That night, we strolled all the way to Hard Rock and back
 |
| The Beachwalk mall where we made a quick stop for yogurt |
 |
| Charcoal yogurt anyone? It really did make your poop black :D |
