Indonesia 2024 (iii): bye Bandung and Jakarta

There's nothing much to write on for the last several nights of the trip. These pretty much sum them up:

  • On the last night in Bandung, we checked in into Swiss Bel Dago hotel. In the evening, we had dinner at Pesona Kampung Sunda and then took a walk around Braga.
  • On the next day, we were fortunate to have R's friends to drive us to Jakarta where we spent 2 nights there.  They were daytripping from Jakarta for an event. The idea was to participate in Jakarta's CFD (Car Free Day) event on Sunday, but I was too lazy to wake up early for it πŸ™Š. So we only went out to CFD to buy us some breakfast 😁. In the afternoon, we were joined by R's friends at the apartment. It was great that Ascott Jakarta upgraded us to a 2-bedroom apartment. The space was spacious for the 7 of us to hang out, eat, watch youtube and even sing karaoke, minus the mics πŸ₯³πŸŽ€πŸ²πŸ§‰. I was blown away for the fact that they sang a few Malay songs. Siti was a given, but Exists - Mencari Alasan and Slam - Gerimis Mengundang? Oh, come on 😍. I was also entertained by a couple of Sundanese songs like Domba Kuring.
  • My flight was at 4pm on that Monday. So we had ample time to checkout at 12pm and take the KA Bandara train to the airport. We even went to the next door Thamrin City mall before checking out for a last minute shoppping for my mom & sisters. Man, time sure flies when you're having fun. Thanks R & friends, Bandung and Jakarta for being nice to me. See you soon!

I won't give up the chance to go to Sari Sari again πŸ˜‰

My friend described the traffic (or macet) as the "organized chaos" πŸ˜†

Ascott Jakarta was so conveniently located next to Grand Indonesia and near Bundaran HI
